The Glenn Group is Recognized as a Winning LEED Building at the Green Building Awards

PRESENTED BY THE CITY OF RENO’S REENERGIZE RENO PROGRAM

The Glenn Group, a statewide creative marketing agency, has received an award for its LEED SILVER building in the Interior Design and Construction category from the City of Reno at the Green Building Awards Program on May 8, 2018, as part of the ReEnergize Reno program. The Glenn Group was also awarded a Certificate of Excellence in recognition for its commitment to being a ReEnergize Reno program participant. ReEnergize Reno is an ambitious program to improve the efficiency of commercial, industrial, and multifamily buildings 20% by 2025.

This recognition from the City of Reno and the LEED SILVER certification identifies The Glenn Group as a pioneering example of sustainable design and its demonstrated leadership in transforming the building industry in Reno.

“We made a big commitment to renovate our office building to be environmentally sustainable,” said Valerie Glenn, CEO and Principal of The Glenn Group. “We decided to go the extra step to become LEED SILVER certified by the United States Green Building Council, but we encourage other building owners to think about environmentally sustainable solutions as they embark on remodel or renovation projects of their own.” Glenn added, “We not only have a more energy efficient workspace but a beautiful work environment for our employees that encourages creativity and productivity.”

ReEnergize Reno is a program launched by RENO Resilience, the City of Reno’s Sustainability & Climate Program and is part of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Better Buildings Challenge, designed to cut energy and water waste in large buildings. Reno joins 45 pioneering cities working to boost local economies and reduce climate pollution by taking on the Better Buildings Challenge.
